Thank you @JBulmer.. I wanted to rule out one possibility, and I did. So, this is going to seem like a very odd request, but if you are certain that these variations don't exist anywhere in your item catalog, then I'm going to suggest that you unpublish your site, then re-publish it as normal. Sometimes, for a variety of reasons, things get messed up like this and unpublishing has the effect of wiping the slate clean, as it were, and starting over. Try that and let me know if it works of not.
You can unpublish a site by at Online > Online Store > Website > Site Preferences. Scroll to the bottom and you'll see that button.
