gif appearing blurry

Hi! I am trying to take over and run the online shop for a charity.

I am wanting to, for some of the items we have online, post a gif. I don't know a lot about the gif format, but I created one using an online tool and it looks great. Uploaded to my item. But when I view it online, it of course blows the gif up to be the size of the photos it displays and the gif becomes very very blurry. 

Any help/recommendations for how to get a gif uploaded for an image that will be better quality? I am wanting a short demonstration of how a product works so I'd really really like a gif.

We definitely support the use of gifs for Square Online per these instructions:

To add still images, click on the image upload field on the right side of the edit item screen and choose a file from your computer. You can also drag an image file directly into this area to begin an upload. To add a 360 spin or gif animation, click the “Add other media types” link and select a file to upload.
