Why is SEO description content missing when I export items into excel file?

When I export item library in excel format the SEO description content is missing, but I can see there is content within SEO description on the site?

Hi there @Frankienulty,

That's a great question! I also noticed this is your first time posting—welcome to the Seller Community! We're glad to have you here. 🤗

Currently, Square Online doesn't include SEO descriptions in the item export from the Item Library because the SEO details are specific to the website setup rather than the general item information. The export function is primarily designed to capture core item data like pricing, inventory, and categories, which are more universally applicable across Square products and services. Since SEO descriptions are unique to web content, they are not part of the standard item-level export.

If this feature is important to your workflow, it could be worth submitting feedback or a feature request to the Square team to potentially include SEO-related data in future exports.

I ran into the same confusion and what helped me was keeping all geo terms straight so I wasn’t second‑guessing my setup each time. The article at https://crowdo.net/online-review-management gives quick, plain explanations, which makes checking your choices way easier. I’d also test small changes first, watch how they affect traffic, and only then roll them out more broadly so things don’t get messy.
