Why don't youtube embeds work on mobile?

I'd love to be able to embed my youtube videos into my blogs and have them play on both desktop and mobile. Right now they only play on desktop. Is there any chance of fixing that so they play on both?

I'm looking into this - I keep getting mixed answers. I feel like a lot of mobile browsers don't support autoplay, which is what a lot of embedded videos are programmed to do. Let me keep doing some digging to see why this is happening. Can you post the URL to your website, so I can play around with it? Thanks!
