The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Sale and normal prices displaying on a sale item
Hi, I am in the process of setting up a website to sell latex garments. I have a number of items that I am pricing as sale items. I have selected the 'online sale price' in the items library and entered both the original price and the sale price.
When I check on the web page, in the item price box, the original price shows in grey and crossed out, which is fine, and the sale price appears below which is fine, but appears if both prices are price options i.e. $25 - $50, with $25 being the sale price and $50 the original price.
My question is, is there anyway that the sale price of $25 can be displayed with the $50?
How that all sounds ok, I did try to upload an image to make explanation easier but wasn't able to.
Thank you
Jenny
Hi there Jenny
What I have done is create a discount for either % off or $ off and set it to a specific product or groups of products.
Once created, scan the product that is $50. Watch the screen and you'll see DISCOUNT <(product/discount name) and $25 (or whatever the discount is).
Hopes this helps
John
Hi John
Thank you for response. Does this option work when adding to a cart, as I will only be selling on line so won't be scanning the item in.
Currently the website isn't live so it's hard to try
Cheers
Jenny
Thanks for reaching out @SimplyLatex,
I've reached out to our Advanced Support team for further clarification behind this. As soon I've got more news to share, I'll reply back to you here.
Thanks for your patience!
Thank you for your patience, @SimplyLatex.
I've consulted with our Advanced Support Team about the price range display issue you're experiencing with your sale items. They've confirmed they can see the same behavior in your site editor.
In order for our Engineering team to properly investigate and resolve this issue, they'll need to examine how your site functions when it's live. Currently, since your site is still in draft mode and hasn't been published yet, they aren't able to conduct a complete investigation.
The next step would be to publish your website from the site editor. Once your site is live, please let me know by replying to this thread, and I'll escalate this to the team for further investigation.
Thank you for chasing this up with the Advanced Support Team. Currently the website is not ready to publish, but I can so a temporary publish, if that is possible, so the Engineers can evaluate the issue.
Let me know if this would be possible and helpful.
Hi @SimplyLatex,
In this case, a temporary publish will be needed in order for our team to investigate further. When you can, please publish your site from the Site Editor and let me know once it's live. Once the investigation is complete, you can unpublish your site from your Square Dashboard under Online > Online Store > Website > Site Preferences > Unpublish.
Thanks! Talk soon.
