Where did the Items >> Discounts (or Coupons, or whatever it was called) go in my store? We used to have them until you migrated everyone to Weebly, now they're gone.
I just emailed 4,000 people with a coupon code that they can't even use!
Square somehow keeps managing to cause more harm than good with this online store. Not sure why I am sticking around to deal with all of this with so many other options out there...
When should we expect this "feature" to reappear? Or are ETA's none of our business?
You guys also recently announced new time-based categories. Those are also nowhere to be found. Is this a staged rollout or what? I'm baffled by how poorly this Weebly transition has gone, especially given the current COVID crisis when people are relying on their online sales.
When is a customer going to be able to specify that their online order is actually taking place from inside my establishment? That's kind of the HUGE point of online ordering right now...keeping people in their seats and not up and about while at restaurants. This feature should have been added months ago.
What's going on, Square?
Hello @snowpacktaproom ... Please see my replies to your questions inline below....

----the Weebly online environment has its own set of coupons. Once you're in the online store, click Items, then Coupons. You can set up coupons here. Since you've already set them up inside Square and blasted a marketing email, I'd recommend using the same code. Your guests can then enter it on the final checkout screen.
---If the Coupons section is not there, definitely reach out to Customer Service to figure out why not. Best way to do that is in my signature below.

--AFAIK time-based categories are available platform-wide. To designate times, go to your Online Store Dashboard -> Items -> Categories. Click the category you want to adjust and scroll down to the Availability section. Again if it's not there I'd recommend a support call because it should be. Remember categories in the online environment are different than the categories inside Square.

In Square's defense, they have added a TON of features to the online environment in a very short timeframe. They have massively accelerated their development cycle to get as many helpful features in front of us. I do agree that having a way to designate dine-in on the online environment would be helpful, but with everything else they've thrown our way I'm willing to give them a pass. How I've gotten around it is with a card on each table with the table number and instructions to enter it in the notes section of the ticket. I've then trained my team to keep an eye out for those numbers and treat the orders like they were a usual dine-in order instead of preparing it closer to the designated pickup time. This has worked very well for me with few hiccups.
Thanks for taking the time to respond, but unfortunately, coupons and time-based categories are not visible at all. Coupons used to be and now they're gone. Time-based categories never showed up at all.
I hear you that they've sped up production but they really haven't done a great job with this Weebly migration. A LOT of things are still stuck in limbo with the migration and it causes a lot of headaches and confusion for sellers -- especially restaurant owners.
@snowpacktaproom okay that's really weird that the coupons and timed categories disappeared. That's definitely not a normal thing. I recommend reaching out to support so they can figure out what happened. I've been using coupons since my online store got transferred to the weebly environment, so I know those are supposed to be there. As for the categories, it's not something I've launched yet, but it is completely available to me as well.
