What happen to the “Orders” screen?

Hi. The original way to view orders on the app was so much easier since the update. All the orders use to be on one screen and it was simple, and easier to read.

Now, there are 3 categories, Active, Scheduled and Closed. The Active section is pointless - Is there a way to go back to the original ordering screen or possibly customizing this feature? I would like to view all the orders under one page, and not go from one to another. The example in the image, there are 8 orders, but they’re split up.

Hey @amatos,

Thanks for reaching out.

Your feedback has been shared with our team, and it's instrumental in helping us improve.

We are currently exploring the possibility of temporarily reverting to the old view, but we want to emphasize that the new format will be standard going forward.

In the meantime, I understand you want to default to viewing Scheduled Orders instead of Actives when accessing your orders. Could you please clarify the specific actions you were attempting to perform on these Scheduled orders?

This information will be invaluable for our product team as they consider further enhancements.

It’s extremely irritating that I have to go back-and-forth from the active and scheduled orders to view all orders. Is there an ETA on when we’re able to view our orders the way we used to be able to view them? Or possibly give us (the businesses) the option to edit how we view our orders? My business is entering our busiest time of the year and would like to get this resolved as soon as possible, thank you

Hello @amatos

We understand changes can be frustrating.

There is no ETA for implementing an option to revert to the previous experience, as this is a possibility we are exploring, but a decision has not been reached.

If we offered this option in the future, it would likely be temporarily, as the new Order Manager will be the standard moving forward and all Sellers are now able to manage both online and in-person orders through this consolidated screen.

Based on your feedback, our team is discussing other options, such as implementing an "All Orders" page for businesses that have under a certain number of orders. But these are just ideas at this point and no implementation plan has been finalized.

Thank you.

Hello, anyone who uses square for sending out time sensitive orders will be hampered by this new layout. For us we don't care how the customer schedules their order, we just need to see all orders we need to prepare in chronological order. This seems like a very basic business need.

I hope square is not crippling the POS app in a way that requires us all to pay extra for restaurant add on.....

This is a horrible update and I wish Square would go back to the original format.
