What are ways that have worked to promote your small ecommerce business?

We just launched our ecommerce website the other week and figured this would be the best place to get some tips and tricks for how you all promote your online businesses.

Congrats on your ecommerce launch.

As for promoting your online business my number one suggestion would be to make sure you have your SEO as fine tuned as possible.  Link your online store to Google Search console and Analytics to get a better understanding of future tweaks as well.

Social media presence will always a big one for ecommerce. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok etc.  Always try to be present and active as much as possible with relevant content, and connecting with people even, not just for the sale. 

MOZ is one of my favorite goto for free (and paid) SEO information.  A lot of free content and tools that can help get your name out on web for just some of your time and effort. 

Lastly, don't forget about the stone age word of mouth. Many people seem to forget about this one with all the technology that we have around us today, we always instantly thing of Social Media. But word of mouth and local sharing can be by far one of the most powerful ways to draw in customers to your online business.
