Website Not Syncing After Category Changes — Known Issue?

Hi everyone,

I could use some help! I recently made several updates in my Square Dashboard — renamed a few categories, reassigned some items to different ones, and hid a couple of categories. I saved my changes and published my website through Square Online, but the updates aren’t showing up on my live site. The old category names and item groupings are still displaying.  It looks like this might be a known issue that others have experienced. Does anyone know when this will be fixed, or if there’s a workaround in the meantime to force the sync between the Square Dashboard and Square Online?  Thanks in advance for any insight or tips!

@PepperPatch  Edits like renaming categories, reassigning items, or hiding categories may appear in your Dashboard but take several minutes to hours (sometimes longer) to show on the live site.  The syncing process is asynchronous, meaning changes are pushed to a background queue rather than instantly applied.

 

One thing that has worked for me in the past is:

In Dashboard → Items → Item Library / Categories:
• Make your change (e.g., rename category) → Save
• Then go to that category/item, toggle visibility off → save → toggle back on → save.
• Sometimes flipping the on/off visibility forces the sync.
