I have two menus that I configured. They are both aligned with the same site. One is being used for the POS menu for in-restaurant orders. I want to use the other for just the Online orders. I can't figure out how to take that menu and use it for online orders. I've looked everywhere and read all the threads I could find. Help! 🙂

Menus are STRICTLY for the Square for Restaurants POS devices. They were only designed for this purpose — not for presenting menus online.
In order to offer products in our online stores, we need to, first, create categories and assign them to our online stores. Then we need to add items to those categories for sale. It is possible that you also need to change settings in your items’ “where it’s sold” section — enabling them for our online stores, Meta, etc, and making them visible online. But there are batch functions to help accomplish this.
If you have more specific questions, don’t hesitate to let me know. I just wanted to set the record straight on the two different “menu” concepts in the Square ecosystem.
I appreciate the reply. What I've done up to now is what was recommended in another thread that I read through. Is it possible there is a video that walks me through what you are saying or something a bit more specific on the step-by-step process? It is my understanding that I can fully use Square for creating the menu, sharing it online, customers ordering and even utilizing the delivery services. I'm yet to find a good explanation how to create the menu, categories and items and successfully launch all of it. Any help is appreciated!!
@DP7. First, apologies for the delay in replying to your last post. There is no video I know of, but I will make one sometime this afternoon showing the steps I outlined above. I’ll post that once it is done.
Adding items and categories to be visible or not online is striaght forward. I would like to hide the online items from the POS locally so that we dont have duplicate items. The online items are in their on categories and I am able to prevent to categoried appearing on our POS but when using the search feature, those online items do populate causing the issue of duplicate items appearing. Is this preventable?
