Hi there, I accidentally created a website with Square Online earlier this year. Unfortunately, this action completely screwed up my subscription settings with my other sites. I was paying for Weebly's Professional subscription which I was getting charged $180/year and getting all the perks that come with that level of subscription. However, when I created a Square Online website, that website took over my subscription and bumped it up to Square's $240/year Professional subscription and removed the plan from my original website (ndwalkthroughs.ca). This is really frustrating to me because now my original website is on a free plan instead of Weebly's Pro plan and no longer has access to features such as Video or Audio plugins or password protected pages. I want to remove my Square Online website and revert my subscription back to what it was originally. I've tried contacting Square so many times but all forms of communication have yielded not a single response. Any help would be incredible.
Hello @ndwshop
I'm sorry to hear that it is an issue that brought you to the Seller Community, but glad you've found a place where you can collaborate with other sellers.
Here in the Community, we have no access to your account details and cannot take action on your account.
I was able to locate the original website you mentioned since you included the domain, and it is currently on the Professional plan from Weebly.
Keep in mind that the pricing for Weebly websites was recently updated, you can find the new pricing here.
Square Online doesn't currently offer a Professional plan; only Free, Plus and Premium tiers are offered. You can also check out Square Online's pricing here.
If you still need changes made to your account, please reach out to our support team.
Thank you ✨
Hi Frances,
Thank you so much for getting back to me. Ok, this almost makes my situation even more confusing. I have no idea how, but the Professional plan I'm paying for got transferred over to the unpublished Square Online website. When I click on "Upgrade" with all the sites I've created (whether or not they're published), they all say that I'm currently on a Professional plan instead of a free plan for each individual site. The Professional plan outlined by Weebly is $15/month CAD when billed annually. That's what I've been paying for a few years. Now, however, it's saying that I'm paying $20/month CAD when billed annually but I never got any notification of my subscription changing or prices increasing, and I've lost several of the Professional plan features which I also stated in my initial post. The next upgrade option available to me is Square Online's $36/month CAD Plus plan, which I will not be paying because I cannot afford that.
It also won't let me delete the Square Online website because it has a plan attached to it which I can't get rid of unless I cancel my plan and wait until it runs out in December.
According to my Weebly editor dashboard, the only site with a plan is the Square Online website and all the other plans (including the one I linked a URL to in my initial post) are on a free plan. I tried going to the support team link you provided, however it says it's an invalid link with incorrect parameters. Attached to this post is an image of what I'm seeing to help illustrate my points. Any help would be hugely accepted.
Oh no. That is quite confusing, @ndwshop
The site I was able to locate shows an active Professional plan, which should have all the features listed here: https://www.weebly.com/pricing, including password-protected pages. When I access the pricing site it shows me prices in USD, but if I'm not mistaken, the price in CAD is $20/month for the Professional plan.
The different plans can get quite confusing given that you have both Square Online and Weebly sites within your account. But what I find strange is the fact that when you try to upgrade, it does show that you are on a Professional site, but your main screen shows all sites but one as free sites 🧐
I would definitely recommend reaching out to direct support. They can look at your account alongside you and help you get the correct site on the correct plan.
I think I might have typed something wrong in my previous response, which is why the link didn't work, I apologize!
You might need to copy and paste this one, but it should work: squ.re/contactsqsupport
If for some strange reason that doesn't work either, go to your overview page / Weebly dashboard and click Support in the top right corner of the screen to reach out to our support team.
Thank you!
