Transferring domain name to new company?

Hi folks

We've just sold our business which is proceeding towards completion in November.  We are a card only business and everything is done through Square including our basic website and domain.

The buyers wish to continue with Square but a new company cannot take over an existing account, I understand how to export items and then import them to new account but is there any way to transfer the web domain over with the site layout as it already is?

Cheers

Malcolm

You'll probably have to look to transfer the domain to the new owners. They can then link to Square Online and rebuild the website using your exported product library.

Great to hear you have sold up. Retiring or looking for a new life challenge?

Is your domain registered through a third party like 123 reg or Godaddy?

I was thinking it was registered through Square actually but having just checked it's actually registered through Pilchard so it's probably easier to do than I thought but I would think the site would have to be rebuilt, thankfully it isn't a big complex site.
