I've had a new web site designed. My old site and name was on Weebly. I'd like to use GoDaddy going forward and transfer my domain name to GoDaddy. Please guide me as to the steps to do this? Thank you very much
Transferring your domain from Weebly to GoDaddy is simple if you follow these steps:

Hi everyone,
I’ve been following this thread closely as I’m also in the process of transferring my domain from Weebly to GoDaddy. Thanks to all the contributors, especially @Doran, @pickerwheel, and @menudale, for sharing such detailed steps. It’s been incredibly helpful!
I’ve successfully unlocked my domain on Weebly and obtained the EPP code. I’ve initiated the transfer process on GoDaddy and entered the authorization code. Now, I’m waiting for the confirmation emails to approve the transfer.
One thing I’d like to add is that ensuring your domain’s contact information is up-to-date is crucial. This ensures you receive all the necessary emails for approval. Also, if you’re unsure about any step, both Weebly and GoDaddy have excellent customer support teams that can guide you through the process.
Thanks again to everyone for sharing their experiences and tips. It’s made the process much smoother for me!
By the way, I’ve also followed these steps to transfer my domain for my site, https://firehousesubmenus.com/.
We appreciate you reaching out, @markmaxwell! We are glad to hear that this thread was so helpful for you. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you ever have any other questions.
I recently went through a similar process when I moved one of my domains from Namecheap to Dynadot. The main steps are usually unlocking the domain, getting the transfer authorization code, and then starting the transfer from the new registrar’s dashboard. It can take a few days, but it’s pretty smooth once you have the code. By the way, I also run a site here: https://nolcardbalanceae.com/ where I share guides and resources, so I know how important it is to keep everything streamlined when shifting domains.
