It appears that there is no way to make custom attibutes for an item visible in Square Online. It would be great if website visitors could filter products using these attributes, or at the very least have the displayed on the item listing page.
What's even the point of having the custom attributes if they don't actually do anything?
Hi @calebsavage. Actually you are coming at custom attributes from a different perspective then their original design intent. They were designed to be tools for sellers and for internal use only, not to be customer facing tools.
Which means that if you want them to be customer facing, you need to submit a feature request here. Ask for an option to make specific custom attributes to be customer-facing, with the ability for customers to filter by them. Make your case respectfully (ie - don’t imply they are useless as you did which is not true at all, but instead suggest that their functionality be expanded beyond their original intent).
If you submit such a request, post the URL to it here and I’ll definitely add my support to it. It’s a worthy feature.
