Has square considered looking into the latency with Square Online? I am looking at GTMATRIX and it took 2 seconds to load the navigation, 3 seconds to load the side nav and items, and 3.6 seconds to load the images.
It's pretty unacceptable. Does anyone else have a slow online page?
Hey, thank you for replying.
I know images are a factor but this is more than that. There are a few things happening:
Squares first paint colorful paint on your site

Squares first paint on Amazons (a whole lot more content)

I am not dissing square online, and I see they put a lot of improvement on speed. I think it could be better for first paint, user experience, and some reliability on latency.
I don't want to delete anything. is there anyway to speed up my website to load faster?

iHi @Indolentlynx - Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Square Seller Community👋
I went ahead and merged your post to an existing thread where other Square Sellers have discussed this topic as well. We merge duplicate conversations together to keep like comments in one place, and to make it easier for others to find the thread in the future.
Unfortunately, there isn't much we're able to manipulate to make sites load more quickly. This often relates to how much content is on the site. You can try the browser troubleshooting steps listed here to see if they improve loading speed.
I hope this information is helpful but please do let me know if you have any additional questions.
Did anyone ever figure out the issue? I have talked with Square Online (Weebly) multiple times. When I refer to the page speed websites, they have no idea what I am referring to...bummer right. Someone please take a look at my website and see if their are any pointers. www.zoetbeautysupply.com
Sidenote: The recommended image sizes directly from Square is incorrect. Spent 2 hours on the phone with customer support just to fix the header issue right size. Smh.
Yours loaded pretty quickly for me 🙂
