Square Online VS Square Dashboard unified discounts issue

Hello,

 

I am grateful that you are beginning the process to unify square online and square dashboard. One of the features you have rolled out is unified discounts for POS and Online. I love the concept, in fact it has actually helped me increase my sales of close to expiration items in store and online and create an equal experience for my physical customers and online customers.

 

However.... There are a few bugs or perhaps a better phrase is "incomplete" features:

  • I can no longer use a "SALE" badge on items for sale unless I use the online feature only not the dashboard
  • strike through pricing is only available for items discounted online not the dashboard
  • variations are not shown correctly for example, I have loose treats, and a bagged version. They sell as 1 item but as a single or a pack. If I put one of them on sale, it appears that neither is on sale until added to cart and then it will apply a discount to the item. but if you are unclear of the discount it is confusing to the customer.

Hey there @JTPets I am happy to hear the unified discounts have helped increase business, but I do understand these issues you listed do need to be addressed in order to make this feature seamless. I would reach out to the Square Online Team at 855-809-9000 / squ.re/contactsqsupport, they like to hear this feedback directly from sellers so they have a deeper idea of what is going on. They will also be able to provide any workarounds for now or confirm if this would be a feature request. I appreciate you bringing this to our attention and if you need anything else please let me know.
