Hello, I'm looking for a way to better manage our orders. We sell a lot of pre-order items, and while I understand there is a way to setup pre-orders, the fact that non-pre-order items are set for immediate fulfillment is a dealbreaker for us (as our policy is to fulfill all items together once the pre-order item is on-hand).
Currently, we're just using Google sheets to list the Order #s associated with a particular pre-order item. Is anyone aware of an app that syncs with Square Online orders that would help us manage everything a bit more efficiently? Thank you!
I believe this is on Square's radar as a needed feature. I was on a call with several other Square sellers and this seems to be a very wanted feature. Square understood the need so I am sure they are working on it. Hope that helps.
When buyers add multiple items in an order, the pre-order items determine the earliest date that the entire order can be fulfilled. So, from that perspective, taking orders should work exactly as you want it to work.
Oh, so non-pre-order items are not set for immediate fulfillment, then? When I was talking to a member of Square's support staff, they informed me that pre-order items would go into the pre-orders list, and non-pre-order items would go under orders for immediate fulfillment?
EDIT: Do you happen to have a screenshot of what it looks like on the Orders page (if you're currently using the pre-order funciton)?
@faheem just wanted to tag you in case this gets lost - appreciate any further insight on this!
@kevinl3 sorry for the delayed response. You're correct; non-preorder items are not set for immediate fulfillment. The entire order and all items in it are set for fulfillment on the same date. If you've used our online ordering system previously, you know that currently, every individual order can only have one fulfillment date by default
