I’m experiencing an issue with Square Online checkout defaulting to Netherlands, despite:
• Square account set to United Kingdom
• Business location set to UK (Liverpool)
• Currency set to GBP (£)
• No Netherlands locations in account
• IP address resolving to UK
• Tested on multiple UK devices (WiFi and 5G)
The checkout preselects:
• Country: Netherlands
• Phone prefix: +31
The billing country in the card payment section also defaults to Netherlands, indicating the checkout session is being generated under NL regional parameters rather than UK.
This is affecting conversion because UK customers must manually change the country before completing checkout.
This does not appear to be geo-IP related, as IP lookup confirms United Kingdom.
Has anyone experienced a checkout region misconfiguration like this?
I suspect the Square Online site object may be incorrectly flagged internally.
Looking for confirmation or escalation to the Online technical team? Can't find anything else that can point me to a resolution and we're a small site and every and all conversion is important.

What is the URL for your site? When I go to your Square site, I see that there aren't any items, so I am having a hard time testing this issue.
