Square Custom Domain Forwarding to Free Subdomain

Hello,

I purchased a custom square domain before I knew you had to have a paid plan for it to connect. Can I set up domain forwarding with my paid square domain so that when someone types in the paid domain address, it will go to my .square.site subdomain?

I am too small of a business to pay for the $49/month paid plan for it to go direct. Please help!
