Site Items not syncing

Hello all! For the last 2 months now, I have been unable create an item or category, load it to my website and have it show up. I have searched through a few threads and saw that this has been a recurrent issue. This is super frustrating in the middle of holiday season. I have checked my listings, item availability, site and channels, stock, etc to no avail. 

 

I have deleted and removed items and categories and it is as if my "edit site" settings are frozen. Nothing is syncing or updating.

Hey there, @BakerCo - 

 

Using your Dashboard, there's one area on your items I would like you to check to get these items to show on your website. You an go to the "Edit" screen of any item in your Item Library to start. On this page there will be a couple of boxes on the right, you're looking for "Locations & Channels". You'll want to click "Edit" under "Channels & Visibility". This will show you exactly where that particular item is visible. 

Going forward you can add a default setting, so you don't have to edit each item. Under Item Library > Settings > Item Defaults > Site Visibility. Changing this to "Visible" will make it automatic for any item created after you add that default.

i'm having issues with adding any item that is created and set as visibile. nothing is syncing to my online store, i have shipping verified, even duplicated one of the featured items thats been on my site and still nothing. there use to be the "site items" located in the online store portion but that's no more. how do i sync this stuff???

Hello!

 

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I have done the above steps multiple times. It is not the individual item showing up that I am having trouble with, it is the entire category not showing up. When I am inside the website online portion, attempting to add categories, the ones that I have created are not showing up at all. I have checked all settings to no avail. It makes it so much simpler to load my items under a category opposed to having multiple items listed, and my customers have to sift through to find what they need.

I was able to take a look at your site and I can see the item under Feature and under Shop All. Where are you running into the syncing issue? Are there specific items or all items as a whole?

Having the same issue. Cannot get the items to show up for the webpage. I've tried the common resolutions multiple times.

Having the same problem too. I've added and updated several items today and changed up items in certain discounts (added some, deleted others). 3 hours later now, none of the new items are showing up, the discounts are still applied to deleted items, etc. I've checked all my settings. I've republished my site 3 times. Nothing. Very frustrated today.

I remember having similar problems all the time when I was using Square Online's automatic Category pages. It's not a new issue. Syncing was a major problem. Then I decided to create a new standard page and added sections with "Featured Items" instead of using the Category page. Turns out this is a little better anyway because it lets me organize my items exactly the way I want them. I sell coffee so this way I can create separate sections for light roast, medium roast and dark roast. The issue with this is that any time I offer a new variety, I have to intentionally add the item to my page by adding it to a "Featured Items" list. But that's fine. It's better than wondering where the heck my item went when it doesn't automatically sync and is just somewhere in limbo.
