Hello again!
I have noticed that when you input a description in the item detail section of an item page, a policy drop down appears for shipping and returns. It is not there if there is no description.
I'm not sure why this design choice was made however, it creates an unprofessional look to have some pages with the drop down and others without. It also can create unwanted confusion with the customer.
Am I missing something somewhere that would make this feature, and by that I mean the policy drop down not the description, always on or off?
If there's not, I would say there needs to be. Either have it always on or always off, or have a user toggle.
Thank you again,

Hey @Bradthelegoguy! 🧩
Thanks for posting in the Seller Community. Good to see you hear again.
Just to be clear - do you have any active store policies? When you go to Square Online > Settings > Checkout, what do you see?
Let me know!
Of course I do, it says so in the thread title.
Yes, I'm sorry, I thought you meant that you had removed them and they're still showing.
I guess I'm confused as to whether this is an appearance issue or if the policy is not showing up for all of your items @Bradthelegoguy?
Okay, let me try again...
Policies are written and where they are supposed to be. As you can see by the previously posted screenshots, when you have a description for an item, the drop down menu for the policies appear as shown in the second image.. When you have no description for your item, the policies do not appear as shown in the first image.
That is inconsistent, looks unprofessional, and can create confusion amongst customers. If there is a on/off toggle I'm missing for that, I need to be pointed there. If not, there needs to be. If it's a matter of not filling in the the store policies field, I can do that, however, having those policies there in a dropdown menu is a very good idea so eliminating them is not the optimal solution.
Is that a little clearer? Hope so....I kind of word salad things too much sometimes.

Hi @Bradthelegoguy I understand why you mean by the inconsistency. Unfortunately, the only way to turn the shipping information off completely is to turn off the short description for the item. Or, create a short description for all of your items so that it shows.
I've also submitted this feedback to the teams since they may not be aware of how this is affecting stores depending on their item setup.
