Is there a way to limit a total amount of purchasable items for a given timeslot during store hours? We're a small restaurant that only takes preorders for evening pickup times. Since it doesn't seem like Square offers a dedicated preorder system for their online store, we essentially offer a "first come, first serve" model. Unfortunately, our kitchen is so small that we can only create so many dishes at a time. Currently the website offers the ability to limit number of customers per 15 minutes and an ability to limit number of purchases per customer. However, because of the variability, this can mean a fairly wide range of how many items can be ordered within each pickup window. We'd like to try to maximize our open time to be serving as many items and people as possible but are hamstrung by the variability. For example, we can serve approx. 8 main entrees (pizzas) every 15 minutes, but if we limit our 15 minute window to 4 customers at only 2 items a piece, that could mean we're either at max capacity or at half capacity for that 15 minutes. Plus, many of our customers order 3-5 pizzas at a time. But some only order one. You can see the problem this presents.
Would there be a way to limit the number of items per 15 minute window? This would help us maximize the amount of customers we could serve per timeslot and be more accurate with their pickup times.
Of course, if there were also a more robust preorder module within the online store, that would help as well. (In which customers would have to select their timeslots; not as a curbside option but as the only option).
