I’m reaching out because we’ve been experiencing ongoing issues with an expired SSL certificate for our subdomain, which was initially used to connect to GoParrot and is now integrated with Square Franchise.
I’ve tried contacting multiple support channels, but I keep getting redirected between departments, and it seems no one is sure what steps need to be taken to resolve this.
Our website is: order.junglekitchen.com
Hi @skhoem, welcome to the Square Community. I would be happy to look into this for you.
Thank you for looking into this too, @Stacelyn24!
I checked with our eCommerce team and they said that your domain junglekitchen.com was previously registered with Square and connected to Square Online, which is what allowed you to create a custom subdomain order.junglekitchen.com on your Online dashboard. This custom subdomain was then connected to a third party host. The domain was then transferred to a different registrar in February.
While we do offer free domains for Square hosted websites, our eCommerce team is not seeing any indication of https://order.junglekitchen.com/ ever being used for Square Online.
In short, they recommend reaching out to your host company directly to see what may be causing this. I'm sorry I couldn't help too much, but we just have limited abilities on our side since it is not our product.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns though!
Hey there! 👋
That sounds really frustrating — SSL issues can be tricky, especially when a subdomain’s been connected through a third-party like GoParrot before moving to Square Franchise.
Even though I haven’t run into this exact setup, one thing you might try is reissuing the SSL certificate directly through your domain host (for example, GoDaddy or Google Domains) and then reconnecting the subdomain in your Square Online DNS settings. That can sometimes refresh the SSL link without waiting on multiple support teams.
If that doesn’t fix it, you might also want to reach out directly to Square’s engineering team via the Square Developer Forum — they tend to be quicker with subdomain/SSL conflicts tied to integrations.
Hang in there — I know it’s a headache, but it should be fixable once the certificate is reissued and synced correctly. 💪

Hi Sammie_C,
Thanks for your response. As I mentioned we have square online but the order platform was set up by GoParrot which is now Square Franchise which is completely separate from Square Online. We managed order and all other setting on different dashboard then regular square dashboardThanks for your response. As I mentioned, we do have Square Online, but our ordering platform was originally set up by GoParrot, which is now Square Franchise. That system is completely separate from the regular Square Online setup. We manage all orders and settings through a different dashboard than the standard Square dashboard.
Thanks,
Seyla
My DNS is correctly configured, and GoParrot shows that my domain is responding and ownership is verified. However, the SSL certificate for order.junglekitchen.com is still invalid. The site shows:
NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
This means the server is still serving an old or incorrect SSL certificate.
Please re-issue and deploy a new ACM certificate for order.junglekitchen.com on the Square/GoParrot end.
DNS is correct:
order → store9.goparrot.ai
Validation CNAME is also correct.
Please refresh the SSL certificate on your server, as this is preventing customers from placing orders.
Is this something you can help look into?
Thank you
Square Community
