We currently use squares website designer and are trying to figure out how we could put a section about the special occasion limited hour slots and give customers the first come first serve option of picking (and paying for ) a designated time slot.
Is there a way to....
1: make purchasable times lots? (Do I need to add them as "items"?)
2: set a limit for each time slot
3: Have it available thru our website to reserve a slot?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Create an event item in your online store. Add new item, change type to event.
You can set time ranges and even different options for specific areas of seats or different packages that might include additional items like food, apps, drinks, shirts, hats, etc. Set an inventory. You will have to update inventory for each date to restrict number of seats.
An easy way to do this is create the event item for each day of the week you do it and reset it weekly. Say, you only due it M-W-F, Monday Event, Tuesday Event, etc. Or if it's not a specific schedule, you could duplicate the event and change the name of the item to the specific date. If you do it this way, make sure to check inventory after you duplicate. For your own records, I would name each one by date (or day of the week at least if you do it regularly) to see which events sell better and which you might need to promote or change the price/package for.
