Remove menu bar and messenger icon

I have two questions actually... First I need to remove the messenger icon from my page. I checked communications>messenger and it is not set up.  Second question is I have a single page website and would like to remove the menu.  I am not sure how to do it.  Thank you.

Hi there @MoochGoose 

 

To your first question… Messenger is not one of the social contacts in Account & Settings for locations.  The only four I see are Website, X, Instagram and Facebook.  Are you saying that when you to go Account &N Settings > Locations and edit your location you have more socials than I do?  If so please provide a couple of screen shots — your setting page for your location and your website showing a messenger icon.

 

Second, to remove the navigation bar just edit your website, click on the navigation bar, click Edit links and delete all links from it.  You might also want to change the layout of the header to something more symmetrical and visually appealing.  Don’t forget to republish your edited site.

There are only 4 social icons.  The messenger Icon comes from the main page under communication.  There is no link there.

When you sign into Weebly.com using your Square account, don’t edit your site.  Rather, go to the Communications section > Messenger.  Most likely you’ve activated messenger plug-in and need to disable it there.  At some point in the past you had to go here to enable the Messenger plug-in.

Ah.  So you didn’t actually enable this.  Sorry.  I couldn’t tell from your posts that you hadn’t been here before.  This looks like a bug and, as such, I need to escalate this to a Square moderator.  I’ll tag a few and one of them will get back with you here as soon as they can.  They’ll need to consult with the product team, first.

I probably enabled it in the past, but I disabled it and the icon will not go away.

We appreciate your patience while our team got to this! After taking a look at your site, we are unable to see that icon on your site. Is it on a specific page that the icon is still popping up? It sounds like if it is a Weebly site, it could be a Weebly Market App, or an embedded item into the site. We look forward to hearing back from you about this!
