The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Patterns and Image size cheatsheet.
Hello all. I was wondering if anyone can help. I am looking for a cheatsheet on the various sizes for images on the Squareup online websites.
Also, is there a way to use patterns as background in sections, it seems to only want colour, gradient or upload a image which it then scales to the section size even if I want it small and a pattern.
Any ideas?
Hi @Hadieda,
Thanks for reaching out with your question!
For non-background images, we suggest using images that are no more than 1,000 pixels on their longest side. For background images, aim for at least 2,000 x 1,000 pixels. It's important to note that the ideal size for images can vary based on the content and settings used in the editor, so while these sizes serve as a guide, the final upload results may differ.
Regarding your question about using patterns, the Square Online site editor currently only supports colours, gradients, and images for section backgrounds. While you could upload a pattern as an image, it will scale to fit the section size, which may not achieve the desired pattern effect. To address this, consider resizing the image on your computer to a smaller size before uploading it again.
