Product: Take-out - hot and ready
Pick-up Time: Allow customers to pick up their meal at their chosen time slot with limiting how many people can pick-up at any given slot. Example: Avoid 50 pizzas being ordered at 5:00.
Under fulfillment> I checked the option for the customer to select their pick-up time.
Problem:
Shopping Cart Check-out Screen: When you check out, Square automatically selects a time for them to pick-up. If they want to change it, there is a box title that says "how to get it" and a tiny "edit" link to right. See photo.
Solution I am looking for:
Option 1. Let the customer pick their pick-up time and not show an auto-generated pick-up time box. The automatic pick-up makes it look I am forcing them to pick-up their hot and ready dinner at 9 am. That is not an industry standard option.
Option 2. My goal in this option is to direct the customer into selecting a pick-up time using shopping cart language that is standard in the industry. In order for the customer to change the auto time that is automatically selected, the words used are confusing. The words "how to get it" don't resonate and match the action "Select your Pick-Up time" Is there any way to change those words to match the action? Then the word "Edit" "How to Get It"? How do I change that?
Option 3: If there are no solutions to the above, are there any shopping platforms that work with square that will allow the customer to do a pre-order and select their own pick-up time?
