A "Vitalii Kravchenkov" has now made two very sketchy orders on my small business website. The first one, for $700+, I cancelled and refunded the next day. He's now ordered again for $300, which is just at the limit for orders that we require a signature for.
He actually emailed me back and is referencing my stock (dahlia tubers) and his desire for certain varieties. However, no one ever buys this much product at one time.
I want to cancel the order again ("due to inconsistencies with payment profile") but am worried his familiarity with my business might have him retaliate in an even worse way (hijacking my site, etc.)
Any thoughts? Anyone deal with a scammer that is actually emailing back?
BTW, he says he's from Blaine MN, but the only profile that turns up for this name is in Ukraine.
Thanks for any guidance!
@bluhausblooms Welcome to the community, Sorry to hear about your scammer problems, we have enough to worry about being a small business that someone trying to scam us, is a problem we all don't need. I don't know if you have checked this section of the dashboard out, but Square has a Risk Management section. To access it go to:
Dashboard/Payments & Invoices/Risk Manager.
From here you can apply rules and even block people, so if they are using the same email address you can block that email address or ip address. The Rules section is where you can define payment conditions.
I hope this helps.

Thanks Randy! I was able to block the card, customer name and email. But I will definitely be looking into this section of the community!
Thanks!
I think the Risk Manager will help you out, I had a couple of people doing the same thing several months ago and @TheRealChipA turned me on to the risk manger feature.
