Order online set up

I have Square for Restaurants and want to move away from my current online ordering system and put it on Square. I currently use a third party to host order at table, but feel it would all be better if I did this in Square Online. 

I’m stuck though…where is the help articles on how to do it from scratch? I have all my items, in the items section, (Online > Items) but they don’t seem to appear on the square site website (Online > Website > Edit Site >  Item List). It says “Arrange and add items” but it then wants me to create them all again? Do I have to create them all again in the website section? I’m going around in circles, and I thought my item file would sync and it would be an easy transition

Hey @TCV2, thanks for flagging this! There are a couple of things we can check here:

  • From Items > Site Items, you should see the items you have created from your Square Dashboard. Please make sure items are all marked as Visible. You can bulk edit items to update their visibility as well
  • Do items have a fulfilment method apply? Note: if you currently have items for Self-serve ordering only, you'll need to add Pickup as a fulfilment method. You only need to apply this to the items and not enabled it for customers to see. 
  • Make sure your location is setup as a Physical Location and not a Mobile Location in your Square Dashboard.
