Order Ticket Names - POS

When using a Square Stand POS Order Ticket Names do not display as per when entered on the Square Terminal, The name show up as an item on the Square stand ipad and as a ticket on the terminal. This is affecting how ticket names are displayed on Fresk KDS. 

 

Can the transactions display in Square stand the same way, the ticket gets a ticket nameIpadIpadTerminalTerminal

That does sound strange alright. I don't have access to a Terminal or an iPad/Stand at the moment, so I can't test this out for myself. I'll pop into the office tomorrow where I'll be able to further investigate for you by testing it out. I'll have more information for you by tomorrow!

Hey @Cheesemongrel, I've been able to test this out for you using our office's hardware. Let's see if I can provide you with some clarity on what is happening here. 

 

I can see what you mean by the ticket name appearing as an item on the iPad and as a ticket on the Terminal. However, I don't think the name of the ticket beside the word 'item' on the iPad is meant to be interpreted as an item itself. More so, it is there to indicate both the ticket name, as well as what items are/were on that ticket once the transaction has been put through the system. I've attached a screenshot below of how it appears on our own iPad and Terminal. So, I think this is expected behavior.

I do agree, however, that it would be much clearer if the name of the ticket on the iPad would be displayed similarly to how it is displayed on the Terminal to reduce confusion. 

 

As for the KDS, how are the tickets being displayed on your end? Are you able to share a screenshot/picture of what it looks like for you? I also tested this on our hardware in the office, and the ticket name appeared as expected as per the screenshot below.

Hi @KYLER_ the problem is that from the ipad new tickets will not display ticket names on the fresh KDS app. The transaction will display in the transaction listing but will not the ticket name on the KDS. It displays as "Order". The tickets from square terminal PSO display with the ticket name "Name Test 3" and "Name Test 4"

If you are using the Fresh KDS, I'd recommend getting in touch with them if you are having issues as they would be the ones who own the integration with Square, so they would be more familiar with the backend. You can visit their website for help with Fresh KDS specific questions. You can also email questions to their Support team by visiting freshkds.com/help/tickets/new.

 

If for some reason they’re not able to help you, our team can investigate further if you provide your support ticket number.
