I'm just starting out with setting up a website with products for sale. I've got two placeholder items on my store, and I finally got all the prices, etc., to work properly... you can add them to the cart, but then there's no way to see the cart or checkout. I'm on Safari on a Mac.
Hello @laurelstein thanks for your post. I'm sorry you're having trouble with this. I tested on Firefox on a Mac and also don't see a cart. Check this area in your online Dashboard...
Online > Settings > Checkout
and scroll down to "advanced settings" and see if "checkout mode: add to cart " is turned on.
Some other items to check...
go into your website editor and open your website. Click on the top header where your item menu is shown. When you highlight the top menu area (navigation area0, check the options on the left side of your editor screen. Scroll down and see if the "cart" icon is enabled to show up.
I don't believe the type of computer or OS makes a difference - I just looked at your site with my Windows PC and Firefox and noticed that you may not have setup your site to Accept Online Orders.
Login to your Square Account
Select Online
On the Overview page - check far right of screen Accepting Orders (select it)
Do you have Accept Online Orders enabled? If no Enable it
Also ensure that the Cart Icon is visible in the Header section of your site
