My Weebly website is down after transfer from Wordpress and I cannot find the domain in either HELP!

I recently transferred my domain for my website from Wordpress to Weebly. It no longer shows up in my WordPress account and it is not in my Weebly account either. My website is currently not functioning and has this message when i try to open in. What should I do?

I would recommend checking out this guide to ensure all the steps have been completed.

A domain transfer process can take up to 7 days, assuming there are no delays in response to the emails you will receive. 

Looks like in your case, the domain was disconnected from your site but is still managed by WordPress. Before initiating a transfer, you will want to make sure your DNS records are correct so the site does not have downtime during the transfer process. Unfortunately, if the transfer is ongoing, DNS records cannot be edited.

On Weebly's end, there is nothing we can do until the transfer is completed and DNS records can be edited on our end.

I know this is probably not the news you wanted to hear, but hopefully, WordPress is still able to assist if the domain has not been released by them yet.

That may be the issue. However, what is concerning to me is that it showed "transfer in progress" on my dashboard until i approved the transfer to Weebly in WordPress. Then it disappeared from both sites. Is this normal? It seems as though if it is transferring it should still be "in progress".

To make sure I'm understanding correctly, the domain was showing on your Weebly dashboard as In Progress before you approved the transfer? 

Or are you referring to your WordPress dashboard?

Did you receive emails informing you of the transfer and did you approve the transfer? 

Domains don't usually just disappear, but during transfers, we can expect anything. I wouldn't be too concerned if the domain is gone briefly. If more than 24 hours go by and it's still not showing, I can escalate to our team for review.

While I was researching, I found that ICANN was already showing the domain with Weebly as the host. So hoping for good news I went to check on the site and it is back up! 🎉
