Match Inventory Levels to Specific Store in Checkout?

Is it possible to match inventory levels of a product to a store when a customer checks out through Square online?

We have two shops but we want to make sure when a customer is picking a product, it's not sold out at the store location closest to them.

Is this something we should do in the checkout section or is there a way to let a customer pick their location when they enter the website, so we only show inventory of products from that location?

Hi @Subport!

Great question! When setting up your Square Online store, you choose which physical location’s inventory will sync with your online store.

At this time, Square Online doesn’t support syncing inventory from multiple locations. So if a product is available at more than one location, your online store will only reflect inventory from the single location it’s connected to. Even if you’ve enabled multiple pickup locations, the inventory displayed is still based on the connected location - not dynamically updated based on the customer’s pickup selection.

In the meantime, I’m going to reach out to our Square Online team to see if there are any workarounds or integrations we can recommend to help achieve the outcome you’re looking for.
