Upon marking an online order as “completed” in our register, Square sends our customer an auto-generated email that says “your order has shipped and is on the way”. This email is causing a great deal of confusion for our customers who have already picked up their goods. I asked Square to change the automated email to read, “your order has been marked as complete”. They responded that in order for it to get changed, I should post my suggestion in the Seller Community and ask you all to also request this change. If you agree with this change, please send an email saying as much to [email protected].
@KnightWatch Thanks so much for posting here and for starting this thread. I am hoping to get a few more details here as the customers shouldn't be getting a delivery email if the order is marked for pickup. If you don't ship at all then I would recommend making "Pickup" the only option available for them. Let me know if you have any other questions. 🙂
