KDS BUG: Orders placed more than a week before fulfillment date do not appear on KDS

A heads up for anyone looking to set up orders for an upcoming date. If an order is placed using Square Online for a date within 7 days, it will appear correctly on the KDS when the fulfillment date and time arrives.

 

If an order is placed using Square Online for a date more than 7 days ahead (example: order placed Aug 30 for fulfillment on Sept 9 at 12pm), it simply won't appear on the KDS on Sept 9th and you'll be left scrambling to find a workaround.

 

Even if you have your KDS set to show orders when marked in progress (rather than within x minutes of the fulfillment time) they will not appear when marked in progress if the order date is > 7 days before fulfillment.

 

Workaround: ensure orders are not placed earlier than 7 days before the fulfillment date.

 

Actual fix: Square must fix their software to ensure all orders, regardless of the date placed, appear on the KDS.
