Items ‘Available Later’ - How to Set Pick Up Times and Order Times Differently

My website, www.hobzbakery.com, will soon start accepting pre-orders for collection, done at least a day in advance. I’ve set up times in the category section during which items can be collected (I.e. our opening times). However, I’d like customers to be able to order during any time, even when we’re closed. Right now, items only show as ‘available later’ - I’m assuming this is because Square only allows orders during opening times. Is there any way to fix this?

Hey @Bakerbaker1 - your site and more importantly your bread looks absolutely amazing!

Looking again I’ve seen that you also do weekend specials - I can’t think of a way to set those items so they will default the order to the next Saturday as the fulfilment settings are site wide and not per item for this sort of thing (you can set items to have longer prep times but not specific days).

 

 

It sounds like you’ve set up timed categories, but this isn’t quite what you’re after (so I’d go back and remove all of that).

In your online dashboard head on over to Fulfilment, then Pick Up & Delivery. 

I’m guessing you’re going to want your settings to end up looking like something below:

This would allow customers to:
Place and order at any time. 
Be given a fulfilment window of the following days opening hours as long as they order by 23:00. 

Be given a collection the next working day even when they order and you are open. 



Hopefully this puts you in the right place and you can see where to amend bits to have it work just as you want 👍

Thanks so much for the help!

 

I think I’ll go with your suggestion, seems like the best solution. I’ll have to specify to customers to only order the weekend specials for the weekend. Hopefully Square can fix this issue soon!
