Item selections, categories, & coupons

I'm hoping to either give the team at Square some new feature ideas or to hear how others are using Square.  I sell both used and new books. Right now, I have Categories setup by genre. The problem is with coupon codes. I only want coupon codes to apply to USED books. That means, I need to also create a USED category and a NEW category. That way I can tell Square that the coupon code should only apply to items in the USED category.  The problem is that when I create the USED category, Square wants me to select all 1600 items in my store one at a time! That means clicking 1600 checkboxes! Who has time for that? Not me! So it would be great if there was a 'Select All' checkbox that automatically checked all of the boxes. Unless somebody has a different way to tackle this problem?

Hi there @Thevioletfox, I agree bulk editing for items and categories could be a lot easier. Thank you for sharing this use case.

Depending on your comfort level with spreadsheets there may be an easier way for your by exporting your library, making the changes and then importing the edited list back in. Specifically, adding your new and used category name to list. Check out this article for more detail
