Is it possible to add a minimum order quantity for piece on the online ordering?

Hi! I’m building a catering ordering page and need help setting up a minimum order quantity for certain items. My items are configured as pieces. For example:

All salads require a minimum of 3 pieces per order (one piece equals a serving for one person).
All items under the Appetizer category require a minimum order of 24 pieces.

Is there a way to set up these minimum order requirements for specific categories or items?

While Square Online doesn’t currently have a built-in feature for setting minimum order quantities per category, there are a few ways you can work around this:

1. Set Minimum Order Quantities Per Item – When creating or editing a menu item in Square Online, you can specify a minimum order quantity in the item settings. This ensures customers must order at least the required amount before checking out.
2. Use Modifier Groups – If applicable, you can create required modifiers that prompt customers to choose a quantity (e.g., selecting at least 3 servings of salad).
3. Add Custom Messaging – Clearly state the minimum order requirement in the item description and use pop-ups or banners on your site to remind customers.
