Inventory count differences between Online & Retail

There seems to be an issue with inventory counts maintaining accuracy between retail and online. I don't think I need to explain how much of an issue for us retailers this is- but it's a big deal.

 

Yesterday, a customer asked me for a specific piece of jewelry she found on our website. I knew we were out of stock on that for a while and was confused a to why it wasn't showing out of stock online.

 

Well- online it shows we have 1 unit, retail is shows 0.

 

The MOST important function of Square for Retail is inventory management. Without a handle on inventory, we can't possibly be able to sell effectively or efficiently.

As you can see above in retail it shows 0 available to sell.

I was able to add the product to the cart.

We've known for some time that inventory in square has been unstable. There have been MANY times we've zeroed out a product in retail only for it to be purchased online... but this was the FIRST time I saw the issue BEFORE the problem happened.

 

It's IMPERATIVE that Square fix this issue.. it creates a terrible customer experience AND especially as we're now charged for refunds (and often the refunds aren't our fault).
