If the square unit gets wet will it still work?

My square got drowned in water in my mobile dog grooming trailer. Will it still work. If i have to buy a new one can I link it to existing account?

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear your reader got wet!

Unfortunately I'd say it will probably no longer work, depending on whether water got inside the reader or not - however Square card readers don't contain any private account info, so you can buy a new one and link it to your current account. What ties a payment to you is the account you're logged into on the app on your phone or tablet 👍
