The work-around for deposits (changing the price shown vs. purchase price) was a good work-around, until clients couldn't cancel their own appointments, AND we had to manually refund their deposit. Why can't clients cancel their order, like a pair of shoes and their deposit be automatically refunded. Too much time is being taken away from my business having to manually do things that should be an automatic transaction. These two things have impacted our business with such frustration, we're considering changing platforms... with deep regret.
Hey there, @iloveboobyfood -
You can set up your own cancellation policy for your Appointments, if you like. Check out this Support Article with the steps to get it set up.
One thing you won't be able to allow the customers to do would be to trigger the refund whenever the appointment is canceled. Refunding is a power that resides with the business owner, so you would have to refund those deposits on your end.
Give that article a look and let me know if you have any other questions.
Second this the ability to take deposits for appointments is such a basic function that many of the competition has.
Also not to mention if you make an appointment manually it should automatically send out a payment request link. The way it is now I have to go into the mobile app and create an invoice to send to the client separately.
