I delete the events on my page but they are still showing on my website

I keep deleting my events as they occur, but when I view my website, they are still all there.  How do I get them off my website? It is making it look like I am not keeping up with my site.

When updating the events, are they never updated, or are they getting updated eventually? I ask because an option to expedite this update would be by publishing your website again.

To publish your website:

1. Sign in to Square Dashboard and go to Online.

2. Select Website > Edit site.

3. Select Publish. 

4. Click the link to your live site in the confirmation popup window to access your site.
