How to limit daily supply in Online Store?

Is there a way to limit daily orders in the online store? 

I'm preparing an online store for a food business, for pre-order and curbside pickup. My daily inventory is limited, but I want to let customers pre-order in advance. 

The only workaround I can think of is to update inventory each day, but that would prevent advance orders. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm pretty sure there's no way to do this currently. We just did a super powerful custom Inventory feature for 2 other Square Clients though that would allow this to be done.
