How can I sell merchandise and food on one account?

So I'm working on opening a board game bar. We're going to have a full menu with food and drink, but we also have an inventory with thousands of items for sale. 

I've been operating as a regular retail store/website for years, but now that I'm trying to add a menu and QR code ordering nothing seems to want to work.

I'm trying to figure out how to have one shopping page with my retail merch and another with my food and drink, each with their own template (retail vs Order online), but I cant seem to figure it out and I cant find any answers online.

We're not having waited tables. food will be ordered online or at the bar and then picked up by the customer when ready. But that functionality seems to be broken when using the retail template.

and using the order online template tries to list out every single item I sell by category all on one page.

Hi @RBTGames2020. 

i run a supermarket with a deli where users can purchase food items. I use Square for Retail because I feel it fits a “crossover” business better that Square for Restaurants, which seemed very restaurant focused.

In store, people order at the register and when there are any “kitchen” items, the POS printer prints up a ticket which, in my case, I walk over to the kitchen. I dont believe a KDS is available on “Square for Retail”, but I suspect a remote printer hack/solution could probably be set up somehow if needed.

Online, I have my usual website and one of the pages is set up with “Featured Menu Items”, where I have listed the items on my menu. It is not automatic and does require that I add/remove items from it manually, but it does work. 

The whole “menu” functionality of Square, although visible in the configurations, does not do anything in “Retail” as far as I can see.

I have not used the QR codes for ordering as it does not fit my environment.
