How can I get old items changed to Physical Goods vs. Prepared food and beverage?

I am not sure when the change happened, because I don't always use the online dashboard (I usually use the app) but recently I noticed that ALL of my items were defaulted to Prepared food & beverage - AND I CANNOT CHANGE THEM! Absolutely NONE of my items are food and beverage.

 

I did see where to change the default for FUTURE items added (and I did that), but I need ALL of my items changed to Physical Goods. Help!

 

It seems this should have been an option when you logged in: Change default detail of all items to [choice].

Hey @hudson2001.  I’m glad you found the default for future items.  However, at this time there is absolutely no way to change item types without deleting and recreating the items.  I know that the capability to change item types is on Square’s radar because I know more than a few people have requested it.  But, so far, I’ve not seen anything indicating when — or if — that will be happening.

 

Hopefully this is just a problem that is not really getting in the way of your business.  I AM a F&B operation and more than a few of my items are marked Physical.  But, since my store and POS work, I have just convinced myself that I have to ignore my screaming OCD which is telling me everything is not perfect.
