Gift Cards Navigation Menu Item - Won't Delete

When I created my online site I noticed there was a Gift Card header navigation menu that linked to an external - square page to purchase gift cards.

I have deleted this menu link item maybe 5/6 time but it seems to reappear.

I have created my own menu item to link to purchase gift cards from my store, but really want to get rid of the automatic one. It seems like a bug that it keeps being added back in.

Is the link you created within your online store going to the same place as the external gift card store?

Or did you create a separate item called "gift card" and list as an item in the store? If you're comfortable sharing your link I can take a further look, otherwise feel free to PM it to me. I won't have the same insight into the backend / how your have your site set up as our support team would, but happy to help as much as I can!

The link I created is as below which is fine and what I want to show the customer to purchase gift cards from me:

The Link which keeps being automatically re-inserted is as below. It has been re-inserted since I made the original post again. Sometimes this link goes to gift cards for my store, and sometimes it seems to load the SquareUp website.

Just checking that you're definitely hitting "Save" when you make the change rather than the x in the top left corner?

Otherwise to be honest I'm not sure what is happening here. I'm not seeing any reason why you shouldn't be able to change and save the URL there and I'm not aware of any current issues with this function.

Have you tried getting in touch with our support team to look into this further? They'll actually be able to look further into your account setup and try to replicate the issue! You can call in during business hours (9-5).

@danscape Where does the link you created go to? It looks as though it is going to another page you created but it needs to link to an external url as in the second screenshot. Why not use that?

The link I created goes to:

So it's going to the same thing but branded as staying on my site, not an external link opening in the external tab.

I can use the one that keeps recreating itself but does seem like a bug that it can't be deleted.

@danscape Try going to Dashboard / Online / Items / Gift Cards and untick the option to add to navigation if it is ticked.
