For some reason my phone is telling me that square app is needed, but i already have it downloaded,

I cannot use my card, because it keeps saying that app is required.  I have it downloaded but same issue.  Can someone please help

When you say you can't use your card, can you elaborate on that?

Are you not able to take a payment? 

Or are you trying to use your square debit card for something?
