We are trying to set up a Facebook Shop to our online Square Store Site and have so many conflicting thoughts. Facebook is requiring to set up a URL code to our cart but we do not have developing access to add this. As a workaround, we thought to connect with Meta sales channel and sync the entire catalog. Will this bypass the URL needed?
- Does Facebook still ask for a 5% fee on purchases even though they are not processing the order themselves and are forcing a redirect to an external website cart?
- If the sync is successful and someone can make a purchase, who will get the fee on the processed payment, Square or Facebook?
- If facebook does take a fee, will the fees be added together and turn into 7.9% +.3?
We have so many unanswered questions!
