The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: Square needs to get With The Program on TXT.ADS Files
Hey Gang, Looking for a solution that will undoubtedly help many Square website users.
1. txt.ads files are crucial for websites that want to serve ads from partners such as Google AdSense to avoid fraud, and build trust with advertisers.
2. txt.ads files are the IAB industry standard.*
*AND SQUARE HAS NO WAY TO ADD ads.txt files TO ONES WEBSITE.*
Three types of Google and Bing verifications available...except the one that REALLY matters. The one that makes you money.
I've been around and around with Square, Chat, Godaddy...added to DNS, made pages, tr4ied 301 redirects (Square doesn't allow a dot in the website extention), added <script> to the hgeader code...NADA.
Square?! txt.ads prevent fraud. Hoping THAT is your thing, and txt.ads will be added asap.
Group, Ideas are welcome and appreciated.
Shakka,
Shane
@USWCmedia This isn't an approved square app but https://tray.ai/connectors/googleadsense-square-integrations offers some type of integration with adsense.
This isn’t an official Square App, but offers a connector that might help bridge Square and Google AdSense, depending on your setup. It’s more automation/integration than direct ads.txt support, but still worth a look if you're running a hybrid system.
I’m also assuming you already added whatever custom header or verification code Google needs in the Tracking Tools section—just making sure that box is checked. Unfortunately, unless Square opens up root-level file access or adds native ads.txt support, there’s still a limitation on full AdSense implementation through Square Online.
The information is murky at best unless there is someone else who has figured out a workaround.

First off, thank you for your post and your feedback, @USWCmedia. I also noticed you are new to the Square Community. Welcome! Please don't hesitate to reach out if you ever have any other questions.
I also wanted to say I appreciate you chiming in on this as well, @Donnie-M! This is all very helpful and a great workaround at this time.
Thanks @Donnie-M !
