Feature Request / Bug Report : : Delivery Confirmation Page Time Estimate Paradox

So, I own a cafe in Provo, Utah and I recently set up my square online store and I wanted to test its performance. The estimated delivery time was 40 to 55 minutes. 

 

The good : 

 

It worked! The drinks arrived in great condition. I was very happy with the delivery. It took 1 hour and 30 minutes to get my two frappuccinos from the cafe (which is located 12 minutes away from my apartment) but they arrived cold, and I was happy to see my employees made the fraps perfectly. 

 

The bad: 

 

 - The estimated delivery time was 30 minutes to 45 minutes, and it ended up taking twice that long. Oh well. I've had longer wait times than that. 

 

The Paradox: 

 

When I went to check on the status of my delivery at 1:14 pm, the cloud front page just says 

 

the order is on its way and will be delivered at 12:35 - 12:45. Last updated 1:14 pm. 

 

How can this page claim to be "updated" when it's telling me an impossible delivery time in the past? 

 

The fix: 

 

I think my customers would be happier with an updated ETA, even if it is longer than the original estimated wait time. 

 

So my feedback is this:: Can this order confirmation page be truly updated more frequently and at least just throw another 15 minutes onto the estimated time of delivery once the delivery time is past,  so that customers are not just being reminded of our failure to deliver it half an hour ago? 

 

Square online is amazing. We love being able to accept orders right on our homepage. Thank you!

For the Feature Request portion, I can get this escalated to our Product Team. 

 

When it comes to the bug issues you mentioned, I would recommend contacting our CS Team directly. They can take a deeper look and file a ticket with our engineers too.
